Happy 7th Birthday Karlee

Karlee celebrated her 7th birthday on Friday but it was really more of a week long celebration. We had dinner and cupcakes on Monday with the Bishop family . . .
Dinner and cake on Tuesday with the Wells family . . .
A date with her daddy to the Varsity on Wednesday. And to finish off the week, a birthday party at the Georgia Gymdogs meet. We had such a great time. They started off the meet wishing Karlee a "Happy Birthday"
The nice guy from the GA Center (where we met all her friends for the meet) gave her a bulldog for her birthday. Notice we are all wearing our pink for the Pinkout for breast cancer.

We had a visit from Hairy Dawg who lead the girls in singing Happy Birthday. Such sweet girls! They were so good at the meet - they all got along great, made new friends and were so nice and kind to each other.
HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY KARLEE GRACE!!! I hope it was the best one yet!

I Love You a TON!

For the girls valentines this year, I decided to do bag toppers and fill the bags with the candy of their choice. They were so excited to choose the design for their cards. Karlee wanted an elephant with the saying "I love you a ton". The idea came from a shirt the twins have that says the same thing with two elephants. She chose Hershey's kisses for her candy and we changed it to be a little more school friendly - "I like you a TON!" This is what the finished valentines looked like.
She had a small party this afternoon at school. The swapped valentines and had yummy snacks.

Kendall's Gymnastics Show

Kendall loves going to gymnastics just as much as Karlee and has been waiting a long time to do a "show" like Karlee. Well, she finally got her chance on Thursday. Her class had a short show during the last few minutes of class where they got to show off all of the skills they had learned. She was excited that her grandparents were their to watch but a little disappointed that Karlee couldn't get out of school to come. They did their stretching . . .
then they did some handstands, forward rolls, cartwheels, tuck jumps and straddle jumps.
Next, they showed off their skills on the beam and bars.
Finally, they received a certificate, treat and standing ovation from family.

Snaggle Tooth

Karlee had an exciting day yesterday. She got off the bus with a huge grin so I knew that something was up. When she smiled at me, I saw that she had a huge hole in the front of her mouth. I asked what happened to her tooth, she replied "I lost it!". It was very loose but she doesn't like to touch or wiggle her loose teeth so we were just leaving it alone. At school she was biting into a cookie and it stuck straight out and started to bleed. So, the sent her to the nurse who pulled it out. She was so excited. She also had a great practice yesterday! On Wednesdays they work on level 4 skills (the next level up from where she is now) and she did her round-off back handspring with very little spotting from her coach. She was very proud of her self and told her daddy that she thought she wanted to move up to level 4.
