Swimming Pool Sunday

The pool opened this weekend. Yesterday was the first day but we didn't go - Ken was in Gray with the big girls to help open his parent's pool & I stayed here with the twins to work on some projects for the craft fair I am doing in a few weeks (more on that in a later post).
We had a yummy lunch with Aunt Kay, Uncle Gene and Kerry then headed home for a nap so we would be well rested for the pool. Once everybody got up , we loaded up and headed out. And by loaded up, I do mean LOADED UP! 6 beach towels, 4 bathing suits for the twins, 4 sand buckets (one each), 2 sets of water wings, 2 inflatable rings, 1 pair of goggles, 2 floats, 2 watering cans, 4 torpedoes, 5 diving sticks, 4 pairs of pajamas and a partridge in a pear tree!
The baby pool was nice and warm (of course!) but the big pool was pretty cold. Not too bad though because I did get in all the way down to the deep end. The twins had a good time in the baby pool and Karlee and Kendall had fun in the big pool as well. Uncle Scott and Shay-Shay came to play too. After we were worn out and waterlogged, we headed to Mama Sandy's for some Chinese food for supper. As I was unloading all the stuff (see above) from the car - wet towels and bathing suits specifically - I announced to Ken that "SUMMER HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN!!"
